Steph Curry Out At Least 2 Weeks With Sprained MCL In Knee

  The Dub Nation has cause to worry, at least a little. After an MRI on his sprained knee, Steph Curry will sit out the next two weeks of the playoffs the Golden State Warriors announced today.   According to the Warriors, the MRI revealed a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks to determine if he is able to return to the court at that time. “Thanks 4 all the prayers & messages. Can feel all the positive energy. God is Great! All things considered I’m Gonna be alright!,” said Curry in a message to fans via Twitter shortly after the Warriors made the announcement. When Prince passed away it was reported that the man who was the embodiment of musical genius had dozens of albums worth of unreleased material locked away, and this weekend fans were treated to one that they would’ve never seen coming. Back in 1989 Prince recorded an entire soundtrack for Tim Burton’s Batman film and it seems like one of the songs that ended up on the cutting room floor was a Big Daddy Kane featured remix to “Batdance.” The song was one of the soundtrack’s lead singles so a remix with Big Daddy Kane would’ve definitely made some noise.   Black Thought , lead MC of The Roots, is hosting a special film screening of The Last Dragon at Nitehawk Cinema (136 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY) on Tuesday, April 26 at 7 p.m . Philly Soul Legend Billy Paul Dead At 81

  The music world suffered yet another untimely blow as Philadelphia R&B and Soul legend Billy Paul died over the weekend. Paul, who enjoyed a series of highs and lows in his long career, was 81 at the time of his passing. Paul was born Paul Williams on Dec. 1, 1934 and raised primarily in North Philadelphia, and was influenced by female jazz greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughn among several others. Paul’s career began when he was just 11 years old, which is when he began his classical vocal training at the West Philadelphia School of Music and the Granoff School of Music. Before long, and after taking the stage name Billy Paul, he began signing with some of his favorites across his hometown.
